I know there are people here who do them, because I see discussions about them every once in a while. But I see very little discussion about the tools they use...that's what I'm curious about.
I'm just looking for basic "animation" software, something that can move pictures around and do bounces and text FX, stuff like that. The kind of thing you might use to make a music video...or like the title says, a comic trailer.
I'm happy with the video editor I have, but it's pretty user-hostile with effects in general (not to mention all the stuff that's locked behind a paywall...). I'd just like to be able to do a zoom or slide an image across the screen without needing a 20-step instruction manual...PowerPoint had it figured out when I was a little kid, I don't see why it should be so hard. =/
