(Spoilers) Would you read a manga that took a month or 2 to make 1 chapter?

I used to draw comics super fast because my brother and me would draw several pages
every day. At least 5 a day, sometimes more.

That´s something that changed for me. I read comics with panels that took a long time to
draw / write, painted with oil colors and a lot of dialogue and I dig this kind of comics more
now. But I also read printed comics 90% of the time.

I edited the dialogue of one single panel like 50 times recently but it became something
like a poem that I enjoyed writing and reading and I thought it´s worth to put some time into
things sometimes. Gave me the feeling of making art

It doesn't matter how long it takes you to make a chapter as long as you're consistent! Most of the time when someone reads your comic, they check out the archive. It's more important that the archive is high quality and that your audience knows when you'll post next!

one of my favoirte Comics here on Tapas get updated once in a month and has about 10 Pages in it. Thats fine for me.

I agree its hard sometimes and The pieces about took me about 6+ hours I have got faster now it use to be 10 to 12 hours. But If I rush it I end up hating the final piece sometimes.

So what you saying is if I pick a day like every 30th of the month that being a month between people would like it? Would it draw attention to the novel as well as it is the first...Script to my manga so to speak?

It depends on the detail so me and my daughter had a contest to see if she could get done with 7 OC's with body bases of course lol (Shes 13y) and how long it would take with me to make a piece. Rushing and I would call this a 7.5 out of 10 I made this piece in 3.5 hours and that's rushing. (I hate rushing.)

I have no idea how well a comic draws readers to a novel. However for any project, you could do it on any day you like at whatever frequency you can muster. The important thing is that readers know when to expect the next bit, and that you aren't on an indefinite hiatus.

This background is a ceat a found image I dont always use them but I did do extra detail to it.

This is when I make a serious background this took almost 9 hours.

Wow 9 hours... dots on her dress and lights on stage manually drawn? Coloring with brush and no bucket tool? Multiple color layers each manually and no duplicating layers?

I never have the patience to go more than 3h on a panel (average 1.5 h on my panels).

I am quantity over quality. Crank em out lol

Yeah some of my favorite manga’s like Berserk and Blue Period both have hiatus so as long as the story is good I’m willing to wait.

Sometimes I sit 3 hours just for the lineart of one Panel :Schweiß_Lächeln: (ok its then a very big one, or one with a lot of persons but still.)

Yes background sometimes takes just as long as the rest of the art of the main characters when I got to tie them in to look right! Like this one I did today.

I would because it always depends on the story. If I have already invested in a story, every update is worth the wait.

It´s worth the time imo, this panel looks amazing + I´m the kind of reader who
reads a comic several times and stares at panels forever

Thanks If i get a better tablet it will make things smoother. Right now it erases all data, shut down, glitches and moves very slow and laggy. I feel like I could be way faster it I had the right tablet to work with around tax time hopefully. lol
