Albeit not the Protagonist, one of the Lead Characters in my Series is a strong female. Aurexis does have a few hints of romance too, subtle but not the type to have the whole story revolve around it.

She's going to be re-introduced to the Series soon, since Mi'kael is all grown up now.

I would say the deuteragonist Blaze fits the description the most, but I think the protagonist Luna is still strong in her own way, and she's definitely a good fighter when she needs to be. They're a power couple for sure!

Both my novels contain strong female main characters, driving their stories with bravery and pluckiness. They are more coming-of-age action fantasies, rather than romances exactly. Both Doncia and Izzi are feeling their way romantically, unsure of their hearts, but both have close female friends and problematic male entanglements.
