My experience has been pretty positive so far, kinda sucks that I don't have very much readers though.
Thank you for the advice! I was wondering how to do that. Yeah I was on Wattpad before I came over here. I figured it would be nice to have more of a path towards monetization
Hi
What worked for me was a steady upload schedule with 3 to 4 parts a week. It takes some time to start off, but once it started rolling it went alright for me (I came here from wattpad in March)
ig i am in the same situation as you right now but i just started writing on here so i am not too familiar with the algorithms of Tapas. but i think once you get the hang of it, the ball should get rolling soon enough
Honestly I say the best thing you can do is keep posting set up a schedule and stay consistent if you want some decent growth. Also interacting on the forums helps to a little bit.
If anyone's curious I have two novels here on the site I'm actively working on.
I just started a couple of days ago and crossing my fingers. I didn't write my story specifically for this site, so I kindda expect a moderate interest. I am not sure if I hit 25 subs. But the reads are not zero, so that's good.
I'll check it out
You can check my comic if you want to, it's also fantasy
So far, my experience been pretty good. I'm still trying to get a following to my series, which has been a challenge (but a good one.) I came from Wattpad and it's still a little weird that I don't have to be constantly battering to get reads and feedback. If I need feedback, I can ask and get it. People will read because they want to and not because they're obligated to.
Hi there! My experience on Tapas has been nothing but pleasant thus far. Everyone on the forums is very welcoming and you're bound to make friends if you post a lot here. I personally am writing a cyberpunk dystopia novel which can be harder to gain an audience for, but I've been really, really surprised and happy at everyone whose taken a gander at it!
I got to 25 subs a while ago. I was stuck at 17 subs for a while, but then I stopped promoting as much and just released more episodes. Then I started promoting again and people were more drawn to it. I'm assuming it's because of the amount of episodes. Now I'm at 33 subs and not promoting that much on the forums because it was annoying some people, and just talking here is more fun.
I started my first series a while back but then went on hiatus and just started writing again in July. I'm at 17 and been there for a couple of days, but you really have to promote to get seen. I've gotten to where I am at because of the forums and because of promotion threads, otherwise, I find that it's really hard to get any readers.
Here's mine if you're interested.
P.S. I'm glad to see you've made it past your 16 an am up to 21 now A little more and you'll be at 25!
Hey! Congrats! That's a good number too. I've been stuck at 20-ish subs for weeks now, would love to get to 25 so I can pass the milestone too. Don't know if it has anything to do with my story or that I upload twice per week, but oh well. Hope you get to 25 anytime soon! Already subbed, I like the story!
I've been struggling to generate interest for my story. I've been updating weekly every thursday and have enough chapters written to last a few years. I'm at 31 chapters and counting.
Hello there
My experience here on Tapas has been nothing but great so far. Naturally, the beginning is always a rough one and the algorithm can be quite cruel, but I overcame that well by interacting with others in the forums and occasionally promoting my work. It's fun to talk about a passion that you share with hundreds of people, especially when they're as kind as the ones I have met. My advice is not to worry too much and take it easy, update regularly, and interact with other creators rather than focusing on yourself and your work alone. Check out their work and give them proper feedback - everyone appreciates that as it helps you improve. After that, you are free to kindly ask for feedback on your own comic or novel. Asking questions is never a waste of time and I'm sure there are plenty of people who are willing to help you.
I love this place. The community is so warm and inviting. This is my Slice of Life Rom Com doodle

Being in these forums helped me A LOT! Getting good feedback and meeting other creators allowed me to improve my skills and connected with great people. Reader other people’s stories and providing genuine feedback (even if it’s telling them their story is good) helps them gain visibility and they could very well return the favor. And if you have the same audience and you show up everywhere, people will get curious and most likely stumble across your story.
Thank you, your help is greatly appreciated.
you're very welcome!
Don't worry, it can start off either VERY slow or VERY fast, but eventually you'll be where you want to be, you just have to be your comic's #1 fan first! Here mines if you want reference and anyone is welcome to read and subscride
