Switching tablets

So I recently go a new tablet, an intous comic from wacom. i orginally had a tablet from monoprice. I'm finding that it's affecting my style especially line art. Do you have any advice like if you experinced this for yourself. i also find that it's causing my wrists to hurt more and I haven't really used that much.

How big is your Intuous compared to your old Monoprice?
If it's small, then all the movements are done by your wrist as opposed to your elbow with a larger tablet.

i think that's the reason b/c the intuous is a lot smaller than the monoprice
