I suppose, but novels really have little traction here to be honest. So it's no surprise that there'd be little events concerning novelists in that matter. There's a lot of other platforms dedicated to novel alone anyways.

But I surely hope there'd be something next year.

Hello grotesqueice,

We just wanted to clarify that you do not have to be an artist to participate in this event! We chose the simple yet adorable Tapas mascot so that a lot of people could participate including novelists. It's also absolutely 100% okay if you choose to do a traditional piece as well!

If you choose not to participate, please don't worry! While this particular event is an art challenge, in the future, we have events planned for novelists/writers as well! Novels are such a huge part of Tapas and its community, and we want to actively engage novelists as well with fun events!
