Genii walked backwards a few paces, not happy about leaving Danivere behind, but Sean (who was now a huge wolf he noted) seemed like capable backup. The monk was a mage after all. Gorn jutted his chin out with a grunt as if gesturing for the bird-person to 'go'.
Genii ran after Aster and joined the others just in time to see Akros' glowing pillar push through the ground. The crystal illuminated the room's interior - it looked like a large tomb. It was decorated in more bones, but these had been arranged in intricate patterns and architectural features.
Facing one of the walls, in front of an ornate mirror, stood a large throne-like chair. It looked like someone was sat in it. You could just make out the points of a crown, and on the chair arms - a boney arm.
"Welcome... I've been expecting you..." The voice says to the intruders gathered by the doorway.
Bellah looked back at Aster and the others quickly, then stepped into the room.
Genii removed his sword and followed after the Aamami. His eyes locked onto the back of the red and gold throne.
"Oh, you won't be needing that..." The voice chuckled.
Genii looked confused. Did they have eyes in the back of their head or something?
