Jet would have heard a clatter and a collective groan as the army of Sirens collided into one another. They’d be back up again shortly, but needed a minute.
Callan heard Jet’s cheeky retort and turned to look at him (suddenly he’d appeared beside him???). The Knight was about to batter the boy with his shield when something clanged against it… a dagger.
Callan turned to the open palace doors to see (what can only be described as) a horde of Aamami, spilling from out of the Palace in a seemingly endless number.
The vicious looking bunnies appeared to recognise Jet, immediately tossing their glass baubles of death and destruction his way - in an attempt to kill him quick.
All Callan could do was leap out of harms way as the courtyard filled with explosions and smoke clouds.

Genii winced and sobbed as Makna jostled him about.
Gorn sat up as soon as he heard the dragon boot her stall door down. He got down from his pile of straw and empty bananas skins and came over to investigate.
The gorilla watched what Makna was doing for a moment, then grabbed Genii by his ankle and flung him onto the dragon’s back.
The Siren hissed and groaned before resuming his mewing for Jet.
Gorn picked up the shiny tiara.

Gemma smiled at Cate and Andrew’s sweet moment, but the floor suddenly sank and slanted - sending the group (and unconscious guards) sliding their way to the next floor down.
Bellah got to the doorway, just in time to see them all sink.
“Right! Change of plans!” Ox was preparing his men for an early start. If their magical friends were in the city fighting the Regent, then he wanted to help.
“Oi! What’s that!?” One of his men shouted, pointing up at the… bloomin’ big bird in the sky. The Vardo readied what weapons they had, but Ox made them wait until they were certain it was an enemy (or random hungry monster).
