Hello all!
So, I've missed doing the rp bit since I had my characters leave the cafe but honestly... they aren't the big adventuring types. Plus- in case you didn't see- that thing has reached an impressive 10K posts (way to go @aqua03 !)
So I thought I'd make a thread a little less... intense? Intimidating to join? Eh whatever.
So the idea for THIS thread is while we can all use our OC's from our comics, stories, or whatever- we are going to keep it more slice of life. Think more "restaurant from another world" or "Polar bear cafe". Mini adventures, fun interactions. That sort of thing.
"But what if I want to jump between the two threads?" you ask? No problems. We are going to say that they operate same dimension/universe and you can go between the two at ANY time through a plot convenient portal that'll show up the exact moment you need it. Just ask you keep the insane fights outside this thread is all.
The setting will be in my world but that's not going be hard to imagine. Still with me? AWESOME. Let's set this bad boy up.
It's a calm and peaceful day as it is in most of the planet. Sure in some places Red and Blue soldiers fight, but this is inside a grey city. One that was, for the record, built after the war. No damage save for whatever nature did to it and even that is being repaired. The city has everything that is needed- theaters, a couple museums with replicas of things, a zoo, restaurants, and a beautiful center of the city park. The only thing it didn't have was... people. Only robots run the many jobs needed to keep a city moving. Payment is not even required- just an ID card.
Which Build-a was setting up a station of that in the middle of the park. After the issues from before (see the early parts of TAPAS cafe), and all the craziness that happened... Build-a worked to create a nice stable gate for people pass back and forth through. Right by it was a robot whose job was to issue id's to anyone that came in so they could get services.... or arrested if they started fights again.
Build-a smiled as she set up a table to tinker with things while she waited. Building out in the park on a sunny day was so relaxing... and more importantly this city was away from anything important in Grey territory so she wouldn't have to worry as much about damage if anything happened.
(BTW China's Ghost cities if you want an idea )
