Commercial. They earn money through ads and through having premium content that users pay to read.

There really aren't many out there, but like non profit corporations or sites funded by the government. Non commercial sites are usually educational or for charities. Almost every other kind of site has ads of some sort, even if the're not selling a product or subscription.

There's a few exceptions. Wikipedia, for example.

Yes, you can easily identify them for almost begging you for donations Others would be the gov-funded or non-profits etc... but that's hardly applicable to the comics environment.
