Yay, my turn has finally come!
First off - this was loads of fun to work on, and a BIG thank you to @CyndiFoster and @noxfox for doing the lion's share of the organisation behind it, which was NOT an easy task! Organising comic artists is like herding a bunch of friendly but confused cats. XD
Fun facts:
The cake booth
Being one of the first to submit a booth-design, I think my cake-booth (
run by Ni, one of my dorky hapless bandits) turns up across more episodes than any other booth. I haven't counted, but it's been popping up everywhere! XD Curiously, despite being named "Cake Booth", there is, in fact, only one cake for sale. But on the other hand, there's a whole bunch of loaves!
What's the deal with the goats?
They're Swedish yule goats, made of straw and ribbons! They're an old, pre-Christian tradition in Sweden, and while their importance has been reduced over the years, they're still kicking around as decorative items, either as ornaments for trees or - as seen here - toy-sized versions set out as decorations.
Wait - one of the goats is definitely on fire.
The burning of a yule goat is an important part of my cultural heritage. A giant straw effigy of a yule goat must be sacrificed to stave off the darkness and defeat winter to bring back the light. Failure to do so will result in never ending winter.
(okay not really - but it's on fire for a reason)
