Wow, that's a solid artstyle. Both the dialogue, the demeanor of the characters and drawings give me the feeling classic manga-inspiration. I especially like the background and whether that was your intention or not I get the sense of a very bustling almost Vegas'ish kind of setting.

This is my first plug here on Tapastic. Happy to be here. I've participated in threads like this before which I think are a great addition to any comic community. My comic is called "Voidchild" and you can find the first episode here. Be wary that I'm a developing artist so the first chapter is a bit rougher than my current style, which is still in development. I'm having lots of fun learning though so I don't mind.

The contrast between the lullaby and what's happening in the scene really pull you in and make you want to know more. Keep up the good work! @genjiOtori That looks gorgeous, and so elegant. I love how well you've used the b/w vs mid tones to differentiate the characters in all the movement. I think the layout style suits the scrolling format too. I think your hard work really shows (:

@Axx wow, what a unique style you've created. Something that pops out at you immediately. I feel weird for trying to give constructive criticism to someone who's obviously a cut above my own ability. The only thing that sticks out immediately is that the black-haired girl in the second panel looks condensed. Like she's been resized horizontally in photoshop or the like. I really love the atmosphere and especially in the final panel which removes all unnecessary objects to focus on the characters and what they're doing instead.

@jessicasurline I like the colors and the composition of the page! You did a great job at showing the girl's emotions! I like how she looks so tinny compared to a vast desert-like landscape in the top panel, it contributes a lot to expressing how the girl feels.

I've always admired how you draw poses but this is seriously awesome stuff (look at the interaction in the fourth panel, ruffling through Angelica's hair, ahah)! I really love how sweet they are to her as well. And your background elements are awesome -- a great mix of abstract, emotive panels with nicely detailed interior shots. Awesome, awesome work, respect!

Here is Monday's update of There's No Such Thing as Jason -- I.T., Dim trying to even do something basic without throwing himself into terrible memories. Probably went overboard with the tiles, heh^^ It's significant, I promise!

@samuelzarate7 cool to see character design employing the classic primary vs secondary colours for hero's and villands - thats so hardwired into my brain from comics. Just by your colouring and poses, you've made the character dynamics pretty clear even to someone just looking at that page alone! nice

This is a really pretty page! It's done with pencil right? I really like the simplistic feel to it without it looking empty. Something about the style and just the nice traditional art feel gives me a relaxed feeling. It sort of reminds me of those illustrations you'd see at the beginning of chapters in novels (Maybe I'm saying that because of the font though ahah). Does that make sense? Either way, a really pretty page!
