I found this thread to be a little more interesting since it asked for creators to tell their story, and not just about their novel or comic. I guess my story as a writer starts with self-publishing my first children's book back in 2007. I released it as a digital ebook around 2009. I have since finished the entire series, and it took like 12 years. But around 2014, I was on an Indie self-pub message board, and was noticing how well romance writers were doing as Indies. SO, I started writing paranormal romances. My first paranormal romance novella was called "Never Marry A Warlock". And I dove head first into romances from there.
I became obsessed with Kpop from watching Kdramas around 2015. I had a health incident that killed me for 60 seconds. So, I technically was brought back from the dead at the end of 2014. (IT was a heart attack, okay. If you have one, in the hospital is the place to do it.) The road to recovery was a long one, about 2 years. It ended my career in the classroom, but I was thankful to be alive. I had writing to fall back on and keep my sense of purpose alive.
I did gain enough physical ability back to get hired part time as a tutor, and taught in after school programs. But then the pandemic came along and we all switched to virtual tutoring. It's then that I ended up moving to a small town away from the city, and retired from teaching. But I kept writing.
I have been working on this Kpop romance for like around 8 years now. IT's gone through a few different editions, on a couple other platforms (that keep closing), and I've pretty much been blogging about the experience on my website.
So, I guess behind every novel, there is a creator story to go with it. What they've gone through. How it may keep them going. How they explore their writing process by creating it. That is likely what you may find in "Love Over Kpop". It has been fun adding and revising, creating a behind the scenes fantasy that I would read myself.
I invite you to read and of course, like and subscribe. I would appreciate you to subscribe and follow more of the journey of this serial novel. I've got about half of it up now, and will be adding new aftermath episodes at the end. But basically, it's done, and you'll be jumping into this writing journey that has been a labor of love and survival for me.
