Can we talk about asking artists for work??
I'm pretty sure that most folks who are looking for a collaborator probably aren't reading the pinned post for collaborators, some of this is already covered... (It's here btw: http://forums.tapastic.com/t/about-the-collaboration-category/11212 )
Can we come up with a template like thing for new writers looking for partners? I know there is a great post about how to handle your relationship with a new partner ( http://forums.tapastic.com/t/advice-for-collaboration-from-a-collaborator/12044/2 ) So let's not talk about that. I'm talking about the very first post you make to the boards asking for an artist to draw for you. It's endlessly frustrating seeing these posts and I'm sure frustrating to the poster who gets no response.

Description of project: (for example. 3 page manga about a high schooler finding a magical stuffed animal)
What I want: (for example, I want someone to do pencils and text)
Compensation: (Its maybe not best to post your rates, especially since they will change from artist to artist. But put if its paid, profit sharing, unpaid, etc.)
Type of artist: (beginner, advanced, manga, chibi, western, stick figures, etc.)
ARTIST LOOKING FOR WRITER:
Your name:
Your email/best form of contact:
Previous work: Please post pictures of your work, or link to Deviantart or a Facebook, or Tapastic page, something.
Description of project: Are you looking for short story? Horror Story? Fantasy? Comic? Coverart? What do you want to do? Need help writing your established comic? Etc.
Compensation: Again, you don't have to post rates, but please post if you expect money, cookies, profit share, drawing for free, whatever. Or if you want to pay a writer to do a story for you, make sure you post you are willing to pay if that's the case.
Type of writer: Pick a genre? Maybe they need to speak a particular language, etc...
Thoughts? Think this might help keep these posts more clear and maybe foster more collaboration rather than irritation? Writers? Artists? What topics should we add?
