yeah I know you are right I know that some minorities are attacked for being minorities
but when you talk about a person being killed, be it for any number of reasons, the first thing you need to convey is that this is horrible not cause he's a minority but because he is human, THE PERSON IS HUMAN DAMMIT
when a headline reads BLACK PERSON WAS KILLED IN ALLEY FROM RACIST ATTACK
you put emphasis on the Black and not on the PERSON
you alienate and isolate the incident you make it seem like this is something that only black people face, we ignore the racism to latins or asians or whites for that matter, if you live in Africa and are born albino (white) you are systematically killed for your bones or for being a devil, we ignore this completely cause we are programmed by what we see/read that whites are never killed cause their white (which is bullshit if you know anything other than the united states).
PERSON WAS KILLED IN ALLEY FROM RACIST ATTACK
you see him as a person not as a black person but as a person, a human, you don't isolate him and show the tragedy for what it really is, no matter if they were white, asian or latin, a PERSON has died and that is the tragedy that we have to mourn.
he was a person FIRST, a human SECOND and race THIRD, stop acting like it's worse cause of his race, stop acting like other races have no say cause they can't understand, we are all humans, we understand what loss is we have all been there and have suffered through it, stop building walls and start building bridges
why can't we agree that we are humans and as humans fight for all humans to be treated equally?
why is it so hard for people to stop identifying themselves by what they are?
why must we be minorities?
why can't we all just put down the walls we have made and fucking be one species?
is it so horrible to wish for a world where we are all humans and see each other as such?
