I am a Christian. However, it really bugs me the way some Christians promote the walk. I hear so many people talk as if we don't matter, we are useless creatures, all that we are of value is to "talk" about how good god is. "Nothing we do or create matters". And in addition, they seem bleak, and unwilling to change.
Why would anyone want to believe that kind of idea, much less commit to that thpught?
Our human tempations for materialistic things and power is what makes us flawed I'll agree. But I believe the innovations, achievements, and growth we make as people are small but significant parts of our path. Everything shapes us in some way. That's the importance of change. Those things can't win you salvation or general happiness alone, but I always looked at them as living examples of spiritual growth.
Fyi - will not entertain theological debates. This is just a literal complaint.
