Oh yeah I can see what you mean. Thing is tho the main ones that got flack for that were my promiscuous bunny-human characters... 4 siblings, out of which one is cis female, one is a transwoman, one is non-binary (but a lot of people read them as female because they have small breasts and dresses feminine sometimes) and one is a guy.
They see the one big chested bunny and go "dis sexist", and then I'm like "she's proud of her body and sexually freespirited, she doesn't care". The response to that is often along the lines of "OH I HAVE HEARD THE PROMISCUOUS WOMAN EXCUSE SOOOOO MANY TIMES"
Except it's not just some fanservice-girl where the creator has an excuse, it's literally a gender equal representation of free sexuality that makes a play in jest on the "rabbits are hypersexual" thing.
Same goes across all boards, I have had my men wearing shirts that hang off the shoulder or show off the tummy (funny thing is as soon as I do this, people think the character is a girl??), or low riding v-necks that show off a bit of the chest, etc. I've had men in dresses, too.
One of my comics has a chubby black transgender character as one of the two mc's.
There are female characters that dress more "modest" (honestly hate that word). Many characters aren't that ass- and boob-ilicious either.
For example my personal favorite out of my ladies is this lady, who's pretty flat overall.
This girl is a fucking badass and her main features are the things that make her fucking badass.
Basically, if you asked anyone who has seen any more than a dick pick or a pic of Tinah's boobs from my comic, then "sexist" would be the last thing they'd use to describe it xD
But hey uh.
Big boobs, cleavage and hypersexual bunny characters.
So screw all the stuff about gender equality, LGBT content, anti-racism messages. I guess me so sexist now.
So yeah I guess what actually pisses me off is people seeing one thing out of context and making an assumption out of their own prejudice.
