Leather restraints with buckles are on your hands and feet. A younger person, looking about 15 years old, walked in the room, looking terrified. They eyed you like you were an asylum patient as they checked the screens stating your blood pressure and heart rate and stats and other doctor things

The panic only grows, extorting my stomach and wrenching out tears as I fight against my bonds. I scream at them, if they think I'm crazy then maybe I am. I shout until my throat hurts. at first, I try to make sentences, then resign to words and then to random sounds, eventually petering off into a whimper of misery and fear. (Can I a short physical description of the MC)

The intern walks over, close enough to be heard but still keeping personal boundaries. They talked quietly. "Please stop. They're going to fire me if they think I hurt you."

(Was the twenty years ago 2019 so it's set in the future or is the twenty years ago 1999 so it's set today, or does the MC not remember/it doesn't matter)

(Holy shit 2040 is only twenty years in the future, idk why I just realized that)

As they leave I call out "late for what!" without expecting a response I begin to check out the things around me looking for a way to free myself.
