Angel: *About to answer when he heard a faint crackling. What is that?
Pierce: Sick, Celesta can use electricity!
Waverly: Can you shock me?!
Angel: *Deciding to ignore them when he realized it wasn’t a threat. He turned back towards Hide. He left me alone to die. The only person he cares about is himself. Getting rich and famous...
Sang: Fine. *Walking over to the front door, he opened it and faced Angel again. Then go. You’ve made it clear from the start that you don’t want my help, and I don’t plan on endangering anyone here or ruining their vacation, so leave. The door’s open. I’m not holding you hostage here.
*Angel’s gaze shifted toward the door with a glint of contemplation, yet he stayed rooted in place. Sang knew well enough that the slightly younger man couldn’t simply walk away on his own. This was just a cruel reminder.
Sang: What’s wrong? You were so set on leaving a minute ago. What changed?
*Angel frowned, narrowing his eyes in the idol’s direction. He’d only memorized the layout inside Sang’s home—anything past that would be like walking straight into an uncharted void.
Sang: *Closing the door. You need me, whether you like it or not.
*Furrowing her brows, Pierce pondered over all the exchanges with Angel so far. The way he dragged his fingertips over furniture as he walked and felt for the handle of the kitchen cabinet. Even the way his eyes bore straight through everyone seemed...off. Like he wasn’t truly looking at them. And then there was that question he had when Celesta presented her powers—it sounded like the noise alone had frightened him.
Pierce: *Speaking quietly to herself. ...he’s blind...?
Sang: *Holds up a tray of baked goods. Cookie?
