The real message of my story hasn't been revealed yet. But if you read the available chapters, you might see that the book teaches the readers that what you see or read in stories doesn't happen in real life. Also, you might have money, fame, and glory, but that doesn't mean that you can be a bitch because people won't tolerate your attitude.

I'd say the message that comes mainly from my MC is you don't have to be the best or most perfect person to positively impact people and live happily.

My work's message is about journeys. It's about self-discovery. I think it's be something like "nothing is what it seems to be. People, places and even memories can be deceitful, but you can also be surprised in a good way if you are lucky enough to read the signs of fate.

Hmm thats a tough one, in our story my writer and I focus on finding meaning in life but it's not exactly a message, cuz we don't want to be preachy and have fun with our series because it would get depressing and too deep to have laughs and random stuff in it.

That's a cool idea to ask people! I actually subbed some comics from this thread, cause it made me interested to hear about their quintessence.

It's a political sci-fi comic and I think my message is to show that it might be impossible to have a perfect society, that you have to give up certain aspects of your life and beliefs and find compromises first to distribute more equality among the universe.

That trauma and your past don't define you and that love comes in many forms, including self-love. That justice is not always black and white. That it's okay to need help from others.

Hmm... For my novel, I guess the message is that you shouldn't blindly turn away from love due to past trauma and heartbreak, but use that experience you do have to search for someone who is right for you! And also to love yourself no matter what anyone else says about you!

The message I'm going for is kinda twofold.
The first is more personal; with all my main characters experiencing some form of self-loathing, I want to convey the importance of willpower to overcome our weakness and find self-worth.
The second is more political; the different factions starting with good intentions but losing themselves to greed, pacifism, anger and traditionalism, preventing them from confronting actual issues. Not really leaning in any real direction, but exploring the pros and cons of different ideologies and the importance of understanding and compromise.

Also, it's about teenagers punching dragons and werewolves with superpowers.
I think that's the main thing I'm shooting for.

I'm still in the early stages of the story, but hopefully, you can see hints of what I'll be exploring in future chapters.

The theme of Errant is Power.
The thesis is that nobody can gain power without either sacrifice or exploitation of others, and that people in positions of social privilege can participate in unjust systems that give them disproportionate power while thinking they're getting a fair share, and sometimes you have to give up things you want or you like having to truly make reparations and set the world right, even if it feels unfair.

On a more specific level, I wanted to address the concept of the "empowered ass-kicking female character" or "girlboss", and how white women are encouraged to gain power through patriarchal systems, and our success in those systems is framed as progressive and empowering, even if we allowed marginalised people to be exploited to get there and don't use our power to help anyone else succeed. Rekki got to be an awesome super-powered girlboss! ...But is being a girlboss in an oppressive, patriarchal, unsustainable system actually good? Is it even possible to have power and be ethical? And what happens when power is needed to set things right in the face of an overwhelmingly powerful opponent? Who can we truly trust with power?

Here's mine! Mine kinda has 2 messages, one for each the main characters. One hand has a character that needs to learn it's okay to forgive and move past things, and the other needs to learn that's it's also okay NOT to forgive things/people. In short I think it's about acceptance and caring about yourself. It's going to be a very long comic though so it may not be clear yet!
