Also, gonna throw in a sketch from last month of some of my curly-haired characters. I tried emulating a different style here. This one, coincidentally, also includes Maxy (slightly different hairstyle as an adult.)

My friend and I are working on a project together, and I'm excited to get through the conceptualization portion of it. Gonna pick one of these later to refine the design of and render for a character illustration.

@Legendofgenii Seeing Sludge Metal being mentioned made me think of Sludgefest, where they slowed down an 80s Alvin and the Chipmunks album. I dunno if you're aware of it already or if it'd be up your alley, but it's quite an experience.

I don't know how I'm going to clean up this sketch, but I call this "A nightcore, a ska, and a nu metal walk into a bar..." I was just thinking about how these three have distinctive music tastes and how well they match up with their personalities.

Some interesting events over the past couple weeks have completely destroyed my schedule/ability to draw at the usual pace but I think I still have a chance to finish a "part 1" version of this thing if I rush, so I'm going to try .

Hope everyone everywhere is staying cool and hydrated .

Edit: and I think skipping sketch time to save time has probably been counterproductive. Surprised/not surprised how disappointed I am if we have to postpone these guys again to do part 2 of the pilot first - guess it's only fair to be more attached to the characters I already spent a couple years with.
