i wish that there was a dark mode because the white background is very bright and tires out my eyes. its hard to focus on the comics and i wish there was a dark mode option that is easier on the eyes. thanks

Frankly, what I'm worried about the most, is the impact on views.
The redesign of the front page doesn't do much for your average shit kicker.
I'm pretty sure that if you're not premium, you're going to see a drop in views.
I could be wrong, but I'm putting money that I'll see a 30% drop at the very least.
Let's see what happens on next update day.

Too bright.

Loads longer on my laptop. Took me forever to figure out where the hell the "next" button was. And then it drops down out of sight for some stupid reason. I'm not on a mobile phone dammit, I don't need that "drops out of sight" feature.

Destroyed all of my paragraph spacing of my novel.

While the Tapas' dev team are "reviewing our comments", I'd like to say that I'm glad I thought ahead with making my own brand and website. As I quote myself from the Smackjeeves "upgrade" feedback thread,

What are your opinions on the Smackjeeves changes?

My site may look plain (I'm using Weebly), but I'm willing to expand on it with extensions and stuff (I'm not going to use WordPress either; too common for my taste).

and I'm also going to see if someone from ComicFury, as @Zyephen said, will help me with my first comic site soon...

That's not to say I'll be leaving Tapas entirely (this forum has a good community along with ComicFury's), but I'm shifting more towards my website[s] at the moment.

tapas should not be excluding their computer users like this if they don’t want people to move to webtoons that has a better desktop layout.

Not quite sure on that one. Webtoons site design is pretty simple & crappy itself; now Tapas matches them in that aspect...but a lot of people have a point: since I am a creator, I spend more time on my laptop looking at a bigger screen than I do on my phone or tablet. In fact, the only times when I'm on the Tapas app is to earn ink- I'm not really giving a hoot about how the design looks. The old site may have been "boring"(in essence) to look at after a while, but have you just ever sat there and tried to be on Webtoons site for more than 20 minutes? The drab-ness/bland-ness of that site sucks the life out of my eyeballs as I try to read my fellow peers comics on there; also- they dont have a FORUM for creators to hang out in and discuss stuff.

I miss my banner because it was something that added personality to my series.

THIS. Now my comic looks like a "I'll have a number 6 on the menu"- you dont know exactly what it is, but it might be interesting...

It's not even yellow anymore.

Meanwhile Hiveworks has a nice little cozy design that feels warm, like "come read our webcomics and be a part of our honeycomb family". Identity, goes a LONG way...

I know!!! I hated to see the recommendations to comics like brutally honest or sarah scribbles, not because I don't like them but because they are already all over the internet!! and now they are also being promoted in MY series : (((

My biggest annoyance is I personally find it hard to scroll through comics now. The comics are different sizes now. It makes it hard for me to scroll through the comics in a line because my eyes are jumping up and down. here's a random screengrab:

I'm not sure if the diff sizes mean different things? But I'd rather they be color coded rather than size/shape if that is the case.
