*Pierce wasn’t one to be scared easily. After all, she was the daughter of a complete psychopath—not to mention the adopted daughter of Fuchsia, who could easily kick anyone’s ass that dared to mess with her.
*Yet as she tapped the screen in her hands to switch on the flashlight, the hair on the back of her neck bristled. A stream of white light flooded the room instantly, confirming her unease.
*A zombie-like man sat hunched before her, eyes dull and unfocused yet somehow still boring straight into the teen’s soul. He didn’t blink, breathe, or even flinch. Just sat there and waited patiently for the girl to get closer.
*Taking a deep breath to calm her nerves, Pierce looked from the faint crimson glow in his eyes to the bags underneath. His skin looked irritated and puffy, his black hair trimmed down so you could see his skull. Though the blood staining his chapped lips and the fresh bites on his arm seemed more concerning.
*Pierce took a small step back. It wasn’t Sang.
*Processing everything as soon as Seok stepped through the portal, the former idol grabbed his daughter’s arm and yanked her behind him. Of course the tracker would lead them to a f-cking trap, he thought.
Seok: Pierce, go back with the others. This is too dangerous.
Pierce: But he’s shackled to a pipe. He’s fine, Appa. Let’s just keep looking.
Seok: *Shakes his head quickly, not noticing the man easing himself up off the floor behind him. I know Sang could be around here somewhere, but I’m not risking you getting hurt to find him!
