My dog used to kill them. So I needed to lock him during the nights. And every night crazy barking at 3am when there was another hedgehog in the yard. I had little shovel to take them outside.They would just curl in the ball and stay like that till horror is over... It was a strange night bowling exercise. I developed the skill to roll them away without hurting them. Even the neighbors didn't mind the idiot rolling hedgehogs on the street in the middle of the night after some time.
