Hi Dawg, i googled it and the symptoms sound similar. I will not throw a diagnosis because i`m not a doctor, but the important point is what can trigger the condition.
The condition may occur in those who are otherwise healthy, those with narcolepsy, or may run in families as a result of specific genetic changes.[2] The condition can be triggered by sleep deprivation, psychological stress, or abnormal sleep cycles.[2] The underlying mechanism is believed to involve a dysfunction in REM sleep.[2] Diagnosis is based on a person's description.[2] Other conditions that can present similarly include narcolepsy, atonic seizure, and hypokalemic periodic paralysis.[2]
(yeah, i used wikipedia)
So, trying to sleep earlier and to sleep 8 hours should help, among other things.
If someone from your family suffer this too, it may be genetic.
It can also be caused by stress. Maybe a meditation before sleep can help.
Hope you get better soon!
