Before the internet (lol) I only knew one dish with pumpkin - rice and pumpkin, my grandmom always cooked it and I always found it very strange. It's like... a porridge with another porridge, neither really sweet or sour or whatever But people here are not used to spices, maybe it would be better with some ginger and nutmeg actually.
Many years later I cooked my first pumpkin pie with condensed milk with the recipe from Foodwishes, and now it's basically the only pumpkin dish I make, it's sooo great
