I had my fair share of experiences, where I was the only one to help, while others where watching as well, sadly. It really annoys me to no end. A few weeks ago a kid (maybe ten years old) fell from his bike at the tram stop. His parents where nowhere to be seen, but the stop at my side of the station was crowded. Nobody even moved to help the crying child. So I crossed the rails, asked if he was okay and if he wanted to call his parents. The kid didn't want any help, but still. Just going over to ask is not that big of a deal. Mind you, the tram stop was not only crowded, but there where several couples with kids. So you would imagine that they would have some empathy. But nope.
