Fixed the dryer; the belt broke about a week back, so I told fam that I would...they got the belt which only cost $18 bucks and I put it on- the dryer is working as good as new.

Also went grocery shopping since I was down to a last meal(a box pizza)...gotta pay rent & bills starting next week

I'm currently taking a break from drawing panel after panel every day. I'm so close to finishing my comic that once I do, I don't think I'll ever work on anything as ambitious as this again.

BUT...

If I do write a story again, it will be something shorter and simpler.

Up this afternoon and trying to adjust...this overcast makes it look like a fall day. Had to a chaotic busy week at my day job so I'm glad the weekend is here coz I need the rest.

I decided to participate in a call for Spanish-speaking writers. The stories I wrote were selected and the judges who read them liked them a lot. I received generally good reviews. Having written a novel in English, publishing it here and constantly working on a comic has helped me gain much more experience in writing stories.

Several years ago, the way I wrote a novel was mediocre and I am happy with this opportunity. That motivates me to continue working on what I like.

I love small comic books/ mangas, such like those with 6.5" x 4.5" dimensions. Those are designed to be read anywhere. I even like something even smaller as an option, I've yet to see anyone print their comics in a mini format.

Been moving slowly on art so far...the day job has been doing renovations and I'm in that part of the year where me & my boss have been alternating taking Fridays off; on the Fridays they are off I have go in early- yesterday I had to go in early and clear out my workspace so that a crew could come in over this weekend and put down new flooring.

I'm tired and right now my energy level feels low, but I'm gonna try to work on some art stuffs today.

My Bluesky account has EXPLODED- with followers...I'm a little tentative, coz I've NEVER had this many followers in my entire social media "life".

I think I'm gonna keep my head down, focus on what I've been doing, and hopefully this growth can result positively.

Welp, the end of an era...I'm deleting my tweets off my Twitter/X account. I'm keeping the account so that my name wont fall into the wrong hands, but for all intents and purposes I'll be operating from Bluesky; I've basically been posting on that site since last year- and with the super mass migration, I feel like my work is getting more visibility again.

I'm debating on whether I should do it with Instagram as well...I dont post there as often as I used to.

Been kinda taking a mental break from finishing off this current piece...I'm almost done, but I just needed a break.

Gonna try to finish it within the next few days so that I can start on my final piece for 2024- one of my OCs.

3 days away from taking my week off at the end of the year- usually around Christmas...I am SOOOOO ready. The only thing I'm loathing is having to relocate stuffs in my work area because they decided to "re-renovate" the flooring(coz they botched it up the first time); I will feel better once I'm walking out on Friday evening.

Gonna spend my holiday vacation watching movies, anime, working on a final art piece for 2024, and trying to play some video games.

WOO HOO! The week has ended and I'm now officially on PTO until the 30th...also racked up a gang of OT in the last 2 days, so the paycheck around Christmas should be beefy enough that I have a bit of extra coin- thinking about going to see Sonic 3, but I'm not sure yet.

Definitely will have all my bills paid for December...all I have to do now is sit back, work on my final art piece for 2024, watch football games/movies/anime, play video games when the mood moves me, and rest.

Weirdly WORKING FROM HOME today because of snow- it doesn't snow here often, so when it does the city/metro area panics and has a shut down...I had to bring my work laptop home though 50% of my job is doing stuff at the office.

Snow day/WFH is over(the snow's melted) so it's back to going in to the office...I'm kinda good with it coz they did not even have me properly set up to work from home and the I.T. department had to find workarounds for me to get my stuff done.

Plus folks were being noisy as hell...louder than the people I work with.
