SHOCKING AMBIDEXTROUS DISCOVERY: I am currently finding out that I use my left hand while drawing. I've been going about 3 months steady churning out comic pages every day. It hurts a lot(!) this week. I've never, ever, ever had hand/wrist pain from drawing before (my right hand/wrist/arm is absolutely fine) so this is very new. It's not "stiff" so much as when I twist it outward and bend it back, it screams bloody murder, "STOP YOU PEON, NO" as if it's got a crick or needs to be popped.
But it doesn't and it won't. The only time I really feel it is when I'm reaching for something with it on my left and when go on stretch breaks. I always take stretch breaks, guessing that's why my right hand is still fighting ready.
And, again, it's my left hand. Which sits fairly still on my keyboard functioning as the "alt+ctrl+shift" hotkey homie in minute, tiny gestures. Might anyone have suggestions for how to alleviate this? I'm already on meds for pain and stuff so it's like... wow, why aren't the left hand's set of capillaries affected?
