How do I end this chapter on a hook that will make people want to keep reading?

Does this count as a hook ending?

My chapter is way too long. Should I make it longer still so I can split it into two?

How did I somehow end up writing one? (well, my story is a novel and not a manga, but still)

I only noticed this when I showed the novel to a friend and he linked me back to one of those newly-released exorcist series from Jump, and said, "This might be a good reference for you."

Why do I design such cute outfits for my novel characters when basically no one will ever see them except in promotional art?
