Guess who got an iPad Pro for Christmas?! Guess who dropped $100 on an Apple Pencil ?! Guess who is having a blast drawing in Procreate?! THIS GIRL!
Either way I decided to take the good mood and work on some character designs. These three characters are based on a story I wrote for a writing class in school. Whether or not I'll make a full comic on them is to be decided, but it seemed like a good exercise.
Here's the story for each character:
Tyler, 14, has lived with his father in their bakery for as long as he can remember. After living in the same village with the same people for such a long time, Tyler has become quite anxious for something different. This being the case, he jumps at the opportunity to make a delivery to a place he's never been to before.
Montgomery, 28, lives in a very colorful house on the border of two very different cities. When Tyler shows up on his door with his bread, he leaves the boy with a very humbling lesson on wanting things to be more exciting.
Hanson, 49, loves his career and his village and his son. When he sees how weary Tyler is becoming, he tasks him with the job of delivering to a new place.
I decided not to color them because right now color is my enemy. But I thought I'd still upload them and ask for some feedback. Any advice on things like posing, expression, or anatomy would be welcome.
