Thoughts on the new Webtoon Contest?

I think the drop in rating might affect those who are part of the Webtoons pledge program. If their rating drops, as beta1042 said above, their viewership and sub count might go down and they'll end up losing income.

We're thinking of entering our new series for most feels. It hasn't been out for that long. In fact it started in earnest just before the competition was announced and will be 6 episodes this weekend. We're thinking of asking our very small fan base what they think of us entering the competition. They've been really supportive so far so we wanted to get their opinion.

I'm thinking about not updating during the contest, because of this lol. But I'd normally update on Tapas

welp we put up a PSA asking for peeps thoughts and now we're getting downvoted like all hell. Won't lie. This kinda hurts.

Aww man :c If it makes you feel any better, it's probably one or two heartless trolls rating 1 star rather than the majority downvoting/disagreeing with entering the contest. The people in the comments seem to be on board, though! Dropped you a 10 star to try to balance it back

yeah when you're in the 9s a couple 1 star votes can drop you a lot. I gave you a 10 to help even it out too, and i jumped up considerably so I think only a couple people may have been mean .

The massive down vote... It's no longer a surprise for me. At start, everytime my score goes past 9.10 it'll get downvote to obblivion immediately. If it's under that, the score won't move.

If you have a big enough dedicated fan base, the negative 1s won't be able to touch you much. Or yeah, post when it's not peak hour for the first updates if you don't wish to be subjected too much to this.

When most of the US is asleep, on non-weekend days usually has the lowest peak. The highest is just the opposite.

Got on there the day before they announced it, I think. I know I wouldn't win, so I don't think I would get involved. Would like to, but my comic is just a fun hobby to see if I could get interest and keep doing it despite I don't do digital art.
