Hi Lia, I'd be happy to collaborate with you.
Though I'm curious as to how many pages you want from your short story, do you want something that is the standard comic issue size: 22 pages?
Or were you thinking something more along the lines of 100+ pages?
By visually striking, do you mean character designs? Color scheme or something more general like an interesting, unique setting?
I'd be happy to collaborate at any level, whether it be something more intensive, like writing the script and helping you design some of the assets: background, clothing, characters etc. or something more like just advising you with some plot ideas and direction.
naturally I'd be happy to work with you and take your suggestions into consideration, to ensure you're satisfied with the short story. I'd never ask you to draw something you're not disposed to drawing.
Unless you get a lot of money from the comic that can comfortably be shared, I'm happy to let you keep the royalties you get from the collaborated story. We can discuss those technicalities later.
I can write sci-fi, fantasy, action and thrillers... however, my talents don't cross over to something slower paced such as romances or slices of life. I'd recommend someone else if it was your intention to write something like that.
I have 4 years of writing experience which I can add to your project. I'm a visual story teller, so I like letting the scenario, setting, character interactions describe the story instead of just telling the story through long dialogues.
I've linked my comic here, so you can get an illustration of this in practice, though a lot of this kinetic story-telling should also be credited to the talents of my artist Yeu.
