We regularly review series again as guidelines change or we receive more information as to what is/isn't okay on apps. I'll review with the team if we can send notifications not only for blocking but also unblocking.
A few years ago the team had to scramble in order to get the app online and keep operations running, which is essential to operate the business and pay artists. I suspect that given how quickly they had to act they were unable to individually notify artists at that point. The downside of being a very small team.
Since then we have implemented a robust system and dedicated team for content reviews, which will contact creators if changes would be necessary to stay on the app.
To answer the OPs question, most creators choose to edit their series. Most edits are minor enough that the story won't be affected by it, and the traffic from the app is important enough for them to do the adjustments. To clarify however: Your subscribers can still view and read your series on the app, but readers who aren't subscribed have to visit desktop to subscribe there. It's the best solution we can provide given the rules we have to follow on our end.
