Leia's feelings for Kevin would be "I Hate You I Love You."
For Ryan...Hmmm. Maybe "Even a Fool Knows This" (SKZ)
There is one almost kiss planned, and it is very crucial to the story. If it turns into a real kiss in it's final write up, yes, it's still relevant, but maybe not in the way people would expect.
So, with her second crush, her bff Ryan, Leia writes a comic called "Darwin's Playground." It's their special thing as none of their other friends help them with that.
She has no special things with Kevin.
Leia and Ryan don't have a lot in common. He's chill and quiet, she's kind of aggressive and volatile. Kevin is flirtatious and inconstant, Leia is steady and dependable. So neither one of them are a lot like her.
Figuring out the speed at which to progress I think is a big factor in this one, and even how much I should build into it and show it, since it's not the primary focus of this novel.
Leia's feelings are clear basically from the jump because it's a first person POV narrative. Kevin's feelings are clear because he's a flirt. Now Ryan's are intentionally unclear and will probably remain that way, because we can only see Leia's POV.
I'm still team friends to lovers, except that I don't foresee Leia's feelings for Ryan actually progressing into them becoming a real couple. We'll see.
Kevin will be flirting a lot in this book. But he's a piece of trash, so I won't let him stand for other flirts lol.
Ryan isn't really a childhood friend. Leia's only known him for a few years, and she's nearly 18.
Do I even have to answer? Leia isn't TRYING to start a romance with anyone. But Kevin...
Leia has known Ryan since her freshman year of high school. She's known Kevin since the summer before the story starts.
Friends to lovers. I'm also becoming a big fan of emotional confessions, and also impromptu confessions. I know, it's cliche. Friends to lovers will be a win until my dying day though.
Bad boys yes, there is one in this story, but he's not condoned by any means. There are no characters who worship the FL though.
Leia is legitimately uncomfortable about many aspects of romance, but this is less shyness and more having proper boundaries. (self respect for the win!)
So this isn't romantic affection, but Leia likes stroking her little brother's hair.
Leia is EXTREMELY assertive. there is not time for shyness in the chaos of her life.
Nah, I think Leia has probably had crushes before throughout her life, but they never went anywhere. These are the most complex, intense and long lasting crushes she's ever had though. (well, her crush on Ryan isn't intense, just complex and long lasting.)
Maaaaaybe? I can easily see there being some jealousy here at some point, but nothing is set in stone just yet.
Yep. Leia and Riley are still teens who live with their parents, and they're parents are your average married middle class American couple, and not showing any signs of impending divorce.
Not for Leia. Neither she nor Riley have ever dated anyone.
I think Leia would be considered a 6 honestly. She doesn't wear much makeup almost ever, she has a bit of a boyish look to her at times and she's on the "softer" side as well.
Riley might be a 7 or 8. He's very handsome, but he's too thin.
I haven't written one yet, and I don't know that there will actually be one lol.
Maybe not more romantic, but for the context of the story...well no spoilers. I'll just say this story doesn't lend itself to everything coming up roses at the end. Let's just try to end with all the characters alive.
Still this. probably the only place it could appear in "Rigamarole" would be a romantic dream tbh
This one is very much so emotion based. the whole story. it's not a romance, but the amount of stress the FL is undergoing makes it only natural for the romance to be emotional too
