I started a thread like this months ago, and no one responded to it, so it's nice to see the topic coming up again. Also your watercolors are beautiful.
Anyway, allow me to throw my comic into the ring! I work in markers. The only digital work is the text (which is a font I created), and some formatting and color-correction. My comic is a fantasy/adventure story following two MC's (a rogue and a wizard) as they grow into legendary figures.
Thanks
Sweet, I'll take a look!
Lol, I just thought about your story, when I was reading the thread. Loving how you work with traditional media
Also can't wait to see some more traditional works here
Aww, thank you! I was wondering when you'd put an appearance in here, since you (seem to) use traditional media too?
I follow a few other people who do traditional media comics, and if they don't appear in here, I may plug them.
Mine is a mixture of marker (foreground and characters) and watercolor (backgrounds). Whas kind of tricky to figure out the right paper for this as watercolor paper sucks my markers dry and the marker paper is to fragile for water... But I found my holy paper now or do foreground and background seperately and put them together digitaly.
I do some cleanups digitaly, like when my scanner decides to make some weard spots on the paper or to make the dark lines darker as the scan lightens them up too much.
What paper do you use? I use a high-end Bristol (I am EXTREMELY picky about what kind), but I'm not sure I'd attempt any but the lightest watercolor on it.
hihi, was just about to write mine down ^^
Also good idea! Here are some awesome traditional artists I have in my library
It's actually some pretty cheap multi - technique paper from Paint On. It's not perfect but it juuust doesn't suck up too much marker ink while being pretty watercolor friendly. wouldn't use too much water on it though. But if there is alot to be done with markers, I just use some marker paper (Schoellershammer or the layout block from boesner).
Neat^^Btw you happen to speak German?
I work in markers, and watercolor. Here's my two series!
AHHH thank you so much for including mine
My webcomic dan was created using pens with various line sizes. On some occasions, I would use a pen brush to fill in solid blacks.
B&W manga style. Penciled & inked on papers, then digitally made everything else.
Here's mineI use traditional items like pens, pencils etc for drawings but I do paneling via photoshop
Yo! I use pencils, brush pens, and a mix of watercolor and ink wash techniques for mine. I letter digitally, but it’s a font I created by hand.
Lol, it already has been 18days :,D Time moves way to fast... And jup, I also speak german Just figured, I know your drawings from Deviantart, haven't been there since a while now... Nice to see you here
