Taro takes the compass from Lunes, opens it up, and sticks his claw in the gears. "I need two plates of meat. This will take a bit of energy."

[Lunes]

"Well I said 'if', so yes."

[Lunes]

Lunes tenses up a bit, "You don't even know what kind of energy that requires, don't sticks your finger in it."

[Shady_Kuronachi]

Taro rolls his eyes. "Inari-sama and Anubis both have similar energy. I know what I'm doing. Now, I need meat. Unless you want to have a bloody fox pelt and end up stranded somewhere else with no one to give a crap-"

[Lunes]

"Language," Lunes mutters, regretting ever talking to Taro as he seems (key word: seems) to be boiling her abilities down to being irrelevant in her survival. She wonders how he even knows Anubis before fishing through her pockets and coming up with a box of cooked minced meat and another one filled with meatballs. She slides them over to Taro. "Anubis" will probably whine about her not visiting when she was supposed to, but having her compass fixed will save her a lot of annoyance.

[Shady_Kuronachi]

"Thanks love. Now," he eats the food and turns back toward the compass, "I will get to work." He reaches his hand out toward the glowing box from earlier and it suddenly becomes a set of tools. He grabs all the trinkets and gears he'll need out of thin air and after a few minutes, the compass is good as new.

[Lunes]

Lunes stares at the compass before taking it, "Huh. Thank you, you're much neater than Anubis. Usually he just etches a bunch of hearts into the sides. For whatever reason." She clips the compass onto a chain around her neck.

[Shady_Kuronachi]

Taro just nods. Thinking about his past, a single tear falls.

[Lunes]

"Wa- sir, are you ok..?" Lunes gives him a few pats.

[Shady_Kuronachi]

"Yeah, I'm fine, Tsu- I mean, Lunes." He quickly checks the clock on the wall. "It's broken."

[Lunes]

Lunes pretends not to notice the slight mistake and glances at the clock as well. Screams and a commotion are heard outside and she turns to the nearest window.
"Hey, what's going-," she stares outside for a few seconds, "Oh, it's just some movie star..." However, she continues to stare, "Oh, there's a bouncy castle... And a trampoline..."

[Shady_Kuronachi]

Taro sniffs the air, "And danger. That celeb is not human-"

[Lunes]

"There's another trampoline!"

[Shady_Kuronachi]

"Is anyone listening?-"

Ingrid reached for her crossbow. "Get behind me, Gunhild. Your runes aren't charged yet, and this could get messy..."

"Bouncy castleeee!!" Hanako shouted, and tried to run toward it, but Aeri held her back. "What are you doing?!" "This doesn't seem to be any old celebrity meet-n-greet, we should stay back."

[Shady_Kuronachi]

"I'll go first- If it's a friendly, well, you'll know." He grabs the box with the cube in it and runs toward the celebrity. Before you completely lose sight of him, he winks at Lunes and mouths 'Watch for me, kid.'

Lunes has a blank look before grinning and shooting Taro a double thumbs-up. A little hesitant, she turns to Hanako and Aeri, “You guys wanna go on the trampolines once he’s back?”

(Yeah in the (reworked version of the) comic the entire friend group has to try to keep Hanako stable lmao)

"Yeah!! Cmon!!" Hanako jumped up and down.
Aeri looked a bit cynical of the whole area, and Luci was also getting a strange vibe from it.
"I mean, if you want to... b-but we have to make sure it's safe first, haha." Luci stuttered, trying her best not to make Hanako mad.
