Gunhild looked up from her book, her legs dangling off her bunk, to see the woman.
"Morning! Where are you heading?" Ingrid smiled. "I'm Ingrid, this is Gunhild."

A short girl with what looks like the features of a cat suddenly dashes through the station, and hops through the door of the train. "Haha, I win! Now you guys have to eat these gummy worms I found on the floor!" She said triumphantly as she faced two other girls who looked rather tired. The two other characters walked onto the train, ignoring the first character. "Hanako, stop making a scene." one of the two said, who had long blonde hair and was wearing a purple hoodie.

Two winged people walked onto the train shortly after the three girls. One was an androgynous looking person with the wings of a secretary bird and sandy blond hair that just brushed their shoulders. Their mouth smiled, but it didn’t quite reach their steely gray eyes. They stood at about 5’10, and wore a vintage aviator jacket and goggles. Observing the others momentarily, they took a seat, their smile never fading.

After they had entered, a shorter woman who stood at around 5’1 stepped into the train car. She had the wings of a pelican, long pointed ears, and was also dressed somewhat like a pilot. Her striking blue eyes were strange; her pupils looked like crosshairs instead of plain circles. She stole a glance at the rest of the group before casting her eyes down and quietly taking a seat.

"Hmmm?" The woman looks up. "Oh, I am a bit lost currently. I'm Danivere."

"Morning, Danivere." Gunhild nodded, looking up from her book. She looked around the carriage, taking in the view of her travelling companions, unfazed by the fact that some had animal features. She'd seen stranger things in the 9 realms before.
"And where are you lot headed?" Ingrid asked again.

Danivere sits down in the train car and rests her small suitcase on the floor.
"I dunno... I was going to visit some friends in Bergenshire but I got lost here. These trains and stations look too futuristic for me."

"They are quite futuristic, I suppose." Ingrid replied. "Back in my day, trains ran on Steam."

"They do run on steam in my day." Dani nonchalantly explains. "That's why I think I got lost here."

"...steam trains... I wonder what that would be like..." the girl with dark hair mumbled to herself, drifting off into her imagination a little. "Yeah... we actually took a couple trains here that were fully electric, and got off at the end of the major stop line. I've never been to this station before." the other girl continued her thought.

"I'm Aeri, by the way. She's Luci." Aeri gestured to the girl next to her who was dozing off. "Hey heyyy!! Aren't you gonna talk about meeee??" The character with cat-like ears and a tail shouted from behind. "The name's Hanako! Don't wear it out though, get it?" Her expression fluctuated between a bright smile and a glaring scowl in seconds.

"Hi, Hanako, Lucy, Aeri." Gunhild nodded. She dug in her bag, pulled out her headphones, and put them on, presumably to drown out the world with some death metal.

“A place called ‘Berlin’,” was all the smiling person said in response to Ingrid. They had an accent; it sounded almost German, but not quite.

The woman didn’t answer.

"Well, we're going to Athens. There's an...old friend waiting there." Gunhild added, bobbing her head to her music.
The train gave a hiss as it pulled out of the station, and started heading to it's first stop of Paris.

As soon as the train starts to move, a figure dashes from the direction of the luggage compartment and slips into the seat behind Gunhild. Sighing, the figure takes off her hood and turns to stare through the train’s window, muttering something about ‘those damn guards.”
