Also a small announcement regarding the artstyle of Trespasser. Starting episode 6 of this chapter I will no longer be doing a "clean" pass on my artwork, instead using a (cleaner version) of my rough pass as the line-art. I am making this change for both my physical and mental well being.
Trespasser's style has evolved much in complexity and detail since I first started producing pages in 2020. It has reached a point where it has become too time consuming for me to finish a single page of this project. With 2 more books planned on the horizon, I would like to be able to finish this project at some point. So to reduce the mental strain, I'm using my rough lines, which will speed up the process and make it more rewarding and fun for me to work on this project as well as make it more realistic that this story will get told in its entirety!
It has also started to take a physical toll on me, with my body aching more often than not, as I try to maintain my self imposed standards, which have only grown larger and larger as this project went on. I'm also not getting any younger and I need to take care of myself. No matter how passionate I am about this project, it's not worth destroying myself over. So this change will, hopefully, also alleviate that aspect. Mainly in terms of time, as I can finish pages faster, I'll allow myself more resting time haha.
That said, I've run some experiments on the change to come, and I'm convinced the end result will differ very slightly to the level of polish you are used to from me. It will no doubt be noticeable to the discerning eye, but you'll just have to live with that.
