Update: fixed search values so that they are retained between searches

I've tried searching with a couple of basic tags under the default(alphabetical order). It seems like the alphabetical order goes as follows: symbols -> numbers -> alphabet letters.
However before this order starts, there's always a couple of results that remain on top which don't conform to the alphabetical sort order.

*This latter search result gives me about a dozen random results, all starting with different alphabet letters, before the actual order starts

In addition, pressing "next page" instead wipes the search results.

I'm on Mozilla Firefox, by the way.

I looked into it and it looks like the affected titles have spaces in front of their name for whatever reason. The spaces aren't visible on the website display but are in fact there. I have updated the search to ignore empty spaces at the start of a series title

There are scroll bars in the story and tags sections. Other than that, it looks fantastic!

Hi @Cavechan! The scroll bars were intentional as some series have extremely long descriptions; do you find it to be bothersome or take away from the browsing experience?

Hi @TAMAnnoying unfortunately the data provided me by the Tapas team does not include extra genres! I could ping them to see if they'd be willing to include but I also don't want to bother them too much!

Alternatively, I could index the extra genres separately which will take me some time - would that be something you are interested in?

It might be interesting but I was honestly just wondering if it would change anything in your system ^^ I don’t actually care either way especially if it’s extra work you have to do

It's not really a distraction but from a design point of view it seems awkward to have the scroll bars for every series. Is it possible to have them only for ones with long descriptions?

It doesn't take away from the experience overall.

@Cavechan definitely agree there and I can look into that! tbh I think all of them have scroll bars bc I was lazy when I coded it -.- stay tuned lol
