Hello there. You can all call me Sadko, or the Wall of Text God. I am an amateur writer, I have not done anything professional yet, however I do help edit and proofread a few comics on Webtoons. I have a few scripts I’ve been working on that I would like to see made into webcomics. This is unpaid, the reasoning for that is that I do not have the means to pay you. I survive on disability checks and require the entirety of them for my expenses. My intentions are to put this on webtoons and eventually make some money for us. Until that day comes though, I can only offer shares in ip which will be split fairly among the artists/writers. I get that this is my story, not yours and so you may not be inclined to do this for free. I would like to state that I do not have the entirety of the story scripted out, I do not have all the kinks worked out. I would love some input from someone more experienced and I am open to tweaking and changing things to help make a collaboration smoother and easier. I am new to this but I want to make this work.
One of my stories is about a man who fought in a great war among all sorts of fantastical races. In the end our hero is mangled and barely alive. He is saved by the fairies of a nearby forest who mend him back to full health and teach him the ways of alchemy. He has no recollection of his past whatsoever, not even his name. He leaves the fairies and comes upon a village where he becomes their healer and is given a new name, Lekar. Lekar may not remember his past, but that won't stop it from catching up with him.
Action, adventure, magic, humor, and maybe some romance ensue. This is a mature comic, blood and violence. More of an anime style for the artwork.
Another is about a young boy and his best friend who dream of becoming superheroes. They are determined to make that dream come true, so they enroll in the local abbey to learn martial arts from the monks who reside there. They may be young, but one day, they will save us all. Oh did i mention they are a gecko and a porcupine?
This story has more humor, action and fighting, adventure and is more kid friendly/cartoonish.
The last story i have began scripting is a modern twist to an old tale. The most powerful wizard in existencr, Merlin, is alive. He has secretly been training the remaining descendants of the Knights of the Round Table for generations. They have been keeping the world safe from paranormal, mystical, magical, and ancient forces for centuries. All while awaiting the return of the one True King. Finally, Arthur has returned. Before he can reclaim his throne, he must vanquish mysterious and monstrous foes both old and new. As well as learn about this new world he has woken to.
This story is mature, action, adventure, violence, blood, humor, you name it.
Will you help me make these fantasies a reality?
I want to try and get at least a new page made every week. Fully colored, inked and lettered. I am asking a lot of an artist but I am hoping to find someone who believes in these stories as much as I do so we can make it truly badass together. I want to go for an anime style with the occasional comedic cartoony faces and actions. I am more than happy to receive samples of other styles, and maybe I’ll find one I like better than what I see in my head.
So to recap, I have a stories that are not yet entirely fleshed out. Stories that I would be glad to get some input and advice on as well as giving the artist a wide scope of creative freedom. I have some ideas for character design but am more than open to other ideas. I do not want to sit here and tell someone what to draw for me, I want them to enjoy drawing a story we are working on together. It is unpaid and I understand how that is a problem but quite frankly I can’t afford to pay anyone. I am getting by on disability checks and need something like this to work out as I may not be able to return to a normal job. That is why any profits we do end up making will be split fairly among us and we will work out some kind of deal before we get to that point. I hope to hear from some amazing artists soon. If you have any questions do not hesitate to ask.
IF A COMIC DOES WELL ON THIS PLATFORM AND WEBTOONS 'PICKS US UP', WE ARE GIVEN A FLAT $1,000 A MONTH PLUS ANY REVENUE WE BRING THEM. SO A POTENTIAL $500 A MONTH FOR DRAWING A FEW PAGES OF COMICS NOW AND AGAIN. JUST FOOD FOR THOUGHT.
