Hi, I was just wondering if tapas currently has any kind of way to post update info about your comic. Basically be able to say what's going on with the author, whether there will be a delay in the posting schedule because something came up... That sort of thing.

If there isn't a way already I think it would be very handy, and help keep the author feeling more in contact with the readers rather than an obscured entity.

Be aware the Wall is not available to those who use the App. So it's not the best solution.

The only thing I've seen is people update their comic with an "Announcement" episode that has the image text wall of what they want to say.

I don't want to beat the same dead body again and again, but... I think this idea has came around for a pretty long time ago and there had never been yet a change. Probably because of staff and budget issue.

The creator/reader profile page needs more utilisation. Not only the message should reach app users too (isn't it what Tapas readers mostly consist of?), It is also better if we can use it to interact with them like hosting a poll or asking a question. The direct message also should come into a separate mailbox instead of ending up in the wall.

The change in how app users can see our messages alone can open for enhanced experience and engagement.

@uselessgoddess I agree, hopefully, they can make the change in the future.

It should! I find the message board and profile page pretty outdated compared to Wattpad. Yes! Like having a poll what kind of genre the readers want next or how much they enjoyed the comic or novel. It would be extremely helpful in the long run. Yeah, or having it be somewhere else on the page so it's distinct from everything else.

If you do use Announcements, make sure you click the little bell icon bottom right so that your readers will be notified. It's default off, so you're just posting into silence, and lots of ppl (me included) take a while to notice that.

you can also schedule an episode for some future date when you plan to return. you can edit it later

This. I always have a chapter scheduled even if it's empty so that readers feel confident that more is coming. Especially new readers that might be concerned that you're not active.
