Understandable concerns, thanks for bringing them up!
I'd like to say a few things first, especially since the people on the forum are more used to the dynamics concerning making comics and how they relate to indie game development.
As I'm sure most of you are aware, when it comes to making comics on this site, there's a colossal bias in favor of the artist-- understandably, because their job is harder and more demanding in time. When you see a post of an artist searching for a writer to offer their services to, it's understood without saying who's doing who a favor there. Someone is bringing the other person's ideas to life. I understand that I'm putting a few constraints on your ideas by adding my own, but so do artists to their writers, so the point remains.
I'd like you to envision the difficulties faced by an artist, and multiply them. With that in mind, consider the following.
I have full intention of following this through, and I have full intention of compensating a writer, when I find someone who feels like the one, once the project is ready for release (or at least a demo). That said, I am currently not being compensated, and I expect that you understand that. When you are compensated, it will either be in a percentage of the final product's sales or a single bulk payment from a crowdfunding campaign. If the whole thing goes bust, you can have my word that I'll try to repay you some other way.
