Wait, do readers actually come to forums?

i wanted to know if readers come here at all to read or find books to read, i want to hear from everyone, especially readers if they are any

this question has come up before a few times (iirc someone may have even made a poll about it) but since then the reader to creator ratio still seems to skew wider to other creators being here more than readers (though there are folks who are both)

there's also the fact that the forums arent as advertised as they were back in the tapastic days and folks are directed to the discord much more. just finding the link to get here on the main site is difficult to find if you're not actively looking for it so even the volume of new users [in general] tends to fluctuate often

Not really, the mayority who join the Forum are writers and artists, most of them either making their own stories or seeking jobs.
Still, any place meant for creators will lack readers, and most of the time, creators are way too busy to start checking out each other. So always consider this the last place to expect readers, and same goes for the Discord Server.

Besides, as VibrantFox mentioned, this space is not advertised as much, if I recall correctly, the only time I noticed the forum existed was when I was looking for jobs as an artist back in 2017, and it was through DeviantART. So, not even back then when I was a non-frequent reader at Tapas I knew of the existence of the forum.
