I don't know if anyone suggested this, but wouldn't it be nice if creators could activate wait or pay for their scheduled episodes? I mean, you schedule your updates for, say, 3 weeks later. If anyone wants to read it now, this person can pay tapas coins (now ink). Of course, it would be up for creators to choose whether or not to activate this feature.

Just a thought :slight_smile:

Pretty sure that was (is?) a feature but for whatever reason they got rid of it this was like two years ago so i don't really remember why it was done away with. Im sure someone that can remember will tell you @_@. Either way I feel like other creators and I deal with that issue by making pages available early on Patreon. But i can see that being slightly obnoxious if your trying not to have several websites your constantly visiting.

Aw, really? I don't remember that D:
Thanks for your input ;-;

I get that creators end up using patreon, but you can earn tapas coins/ink for free :0

I think I remember it being something you could e-mail staff to request way back when, but I don't know what happened. Maybe you still can! I haven't heard it mentioned, but that would be a nice feature for community comics.

Tipping (inking now??) is nice but you can't really do anything with it till you get 250 subs, which is fine but I have people who wanna support me now even tho i have a low sub count so they only way they can do that is with Kofi and Patreon

I like the sound of this! Early updates on Patreon are a thing, but it would be more convenient for readers not to have to go off-site. And Patreon isn't the best place for sharing comics anyway, formatting-wise.

Smackjeeves' Patreon integration is also a good way to do it, imo.

It was a feature in their 'Support Program' which was kind of like a onsite patreon. I was in it and used to lock updates 1 episode ahead for people that pledged a dollar.

It went really well, readers in general loved it, and those that complained didn't have to wait very long for the update to get unlocked as only the LATEST episode was locked (1 day wait for my one comic, 1 week wait for my other). I made about 80 - 100$ a month with it, consistently.

Tapastic removed it though because the payment system was not compatible with the payment system they were setting up for their phone ap for buying premium episodes, which later eventually lead to the tipping feature for other users.

If you check your email, you can get tipping, now support, turned on if you're under 250.

Ah! Well thats a brand new thing. Not even sure if it will continue to be on past the event but its good to know! Thanks

Your welcome. take advantage of it while you can, that 250 requirement can be a slog, especially if you don't update regularly.

I'm trying to update on Mondays and Fridays. My original draft is on Wattpad, but I was working on posting the rewrite here because of the tipping system.

I sent them an email a little bit ago so keeping fingers crossed.
