Okay, I actually just looked through the Google images, and I need to ask you which Victorian era they're in. Early, middle and late Victorian era have quite a few difference in clothing, especially the coat. If you don't have any clothing reference in mind, telling me if they're in early or late Victorian era helps too.

Ah yes, they're in 1865, so I'd say mid victorian. Think those dress shirts, black ties and overcoats. I'd say Alden would be very up to dress code, whereas Ross would probably leave one or two buttons open because he couldn't even be bothered with that.

I started this way too late today. And the search for reference actually took me one hour.

I choose to gave him the rimless (is that the right word?) glasses because the other glasses pic I found doesn't have a definte year
(not like this one have it too).

I hope he doesn't appear too tall or too short.

Before I actually want to let him sit on a couch and draw him like he's sitting like a boss, but then I discarded the idea.
And for some reason he didn't looked like what I imagine at all...

My brain said that he somewhat looked like that one famous wizard kid...

I wrote this at 00.54, so its time for me to sleep so I can wake up to work tomorrow morning. (D*mn I hate my job )
Anyway, I hope you like him although he's probably not what you imagine him to be.

I've been following the thread for a while now, and I gotta say it: amazing job!
I'm particularly fond of the cute mouses.

I would like to have my characters done too. Especially Gwyn. But I don't really have that many references of them... And the ones I do have are back home, so I'll only be able to post them tomorrow. Can I be on queue on the meantime?

So, first of all, I'm gonna say sorry.

This is what I'm working rn.

I was just going to draw this as a 'warm-up' before drawing the full body one, but when I was drawing this, a certain someone spilling their water at me when I just need to draw the apple. Its almost finished godd*mnit.

The other papers on the same binder also got damaged, including the Alden one. I'm just glad that the full body one is pretty okay, but it also got water in it.

I would like to re-draw it again because the paper got damaged (you can't see it, but it is ruined), but not now, since my mood is also ruined.

Just tell me if the face is not what your Ross suppose to look and I'll change it tomorrow. And also, since he's a blacksmith, I like to draw him n a blacksmith work outfit, if you don't mind, but if you want him to have a casual clothing, I'm fine too.

The reference I got of the blacksmith clothing is mostly blurry anyway.

Anyway, sorry for today.

That's too bad. I'm sorry that happened to you. Don't worry about the drawings, draw whenever you feel most comfortable for it!
I don't mind if you draw him in blacksmith clothes either, if you feel more comfortable with that. As for the face, I should've specified that Ross is a bit older than Alden, and a bit more rough around the edges. He has those Scottish hill genes, so he'll be more masculine for sure.

But again, draw whichever way you prefer! I love it regardless, and it's your practise after all

So... I'm done with Ross... but... I'm not sure of this is the looks you're striving for.

Pose and clothing (that I edited pretty much) reference:

I decided to leave the strap since a lot of other reference doesn't have the strap applied, also.

Since he's still a young man, I give him the young guy look as to not mistaking him for an older guy, but I'm not sure if he's 'big' enough for you. And for some reason he's not like the Ross in my imagination .

And if you didn't notice, I make some shading for this one, albeit it's a bit messy. I rarely make any shading on my drawings, so I hope you could understand.

Bonus (again):

I'm redrawing last night sketch, but I made a slight adjustment. If you compare the two, you might see them as a younger X older recreation pose version kind of drawing.

You don't need necessarily think of him as Ross if this is not the one you're looking for. Just think of them as some mob or something?

Well, I can't guarantee you to like everything I made, and no need to force it.

I'll ask something about the last guy tomorrow if there's something i need to ask.

Don't doubt yourself so much! It's really good! It's a novel character, so you don't need to treat it like an exact science or anything. The wonderful thing about a written character is that nobody has the same version. It's all about your imagination and your interpretation, and from what I see, they're well and wonderful

Not to speak of you doing this for free! You could've drawn me two stick figures, given one a top hat and named them Alden and Ross, and I'd have no right to be anything but grateful. Because it's an amazing thing that you took time out of your day to make something for me. Not just me, everyone you've drawn for so far! What's on those papers are hours of hard work, for someone you don't even know. Even if it's for practise, to me that's still an awesome thing to be doing, and I have so much admiration for it.

So yeah, I guess what I'm saying is that you're pretty chill buddy

Eye shapes? Not really necessary, but I wonder if he have the sharp looking gaze or pretty normal one (I'm also confused with my own phrase).

His general expression is something like 'go f urself I don't give a f' (scowl) or 'even if you dying in front if me I wouldn't even care, just don't dirtying my shoes' (indifferent) kind of look or what?

I can't think of other question atm.

I am desperately trying to make my dream come true and am just coming back into writing after a seven year battle with PTSD. I am actually looking for someone to draw my characters however they want based on the description (hair, eye color etc.) I want someone to have fun with it and just make it their own

Main characters

Gray - age - 20, height - about 5'10, good build, black hair that sweeps across his eyes
personal style = your basic t-shirt/torn jeans combo. with converse. I believe you said you don't draw in color but just in case, eye color - bright blue. fierceness to the eyes

Silas - age - 21 tall and lanky (6'1), yet with minor muscle. golden blonde hair that is also shaggy. Very carefree expression.
personal style - he is the heir to a massive fortune so his clothes are quite expensive. He is a fan of beanies and ball caps. eyes - color - green with carefree, loving expression.
Both male leads are pretty handsome

Now onto the fun part

Valley - beautiful graceful build. about 5'3. She is half human/half fairy therefore her ears come to a slight point with multiple piercings.
She is the princess of Orchid (The fairy territory of the north) So her attire is what you would imagine a beautiful goddess wearing...flowing lace/satin..just picture a fairy goddess/greek nmpth. (She is human size though)
she would be found barefoot most of the time with ankle bracelets, her arms with bangles.
She has dark violet wings (just have fun with that design lol) However her being half human, she cannot fly.
Her hair is extremely long and a very dark violet.
Fierce but beautiful expression.

Grace - approximately 5'5, hair crimped waves that hang in a bob like cut slightly past her chin. (bright magenta in color.
Extremely beautiful but has a couple of slight battle scars upon her face that she tries to hide with her side swept bangs.
attire - She is a high priestess/ yokai tamer, she wears traditional Japanese clothing (right now black and white) that she can move freely in and fight in.
She carries a sword attached to her hip, and a bow with arrows on her back.
MAKE THEM YOUR OWN AND HAVE FUN WITH THEM!!! I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE WHAT YOU COME UP WITH!!!! <3

I contemplate this for a while, but then I decide to put my Ko-fi page on the very first post I made up there. This might looks like I'm ended up begging for money , but still, I won't be pressuring you all up give me Ko-fi. I will still draw everything, regardless. So no worries about everything. Alright, so for Saami:

His hair reaches to his neck. I'd say it's that length where you can get a small ponytail going, kind of in-between short and long.
For his eyes, sharp sounds like it'd fit best with his background.

For his expression I'm a bit unsure. I think it depends on the context. If he's not fighting space aliens then 'go f urself' is his default. If he is in combat however he's a lot more indifferent/collected, not so much because he doesn't care, but because he's focused on his mission objectives.

Just a bit of general info to help you along, not sure how much is in the original post but I skimmed over him quite quickly I feel:
He's genetically engineered, but because he wasn't the intended DNA repicient of that engineering, he didn't become a massive 2.10m supersoldier like the rest. For human standards he's still tall regardless, but also very slender. Definitely agility over muscle.
Depending on which way you'd like to draw him, he either wears his casual clothes or his combat suit.
- casual clothes are just that, T-shirt, jeans, sneakers. 1000 years in the future those are still the clothes to go to xD
- his combat gear is a lot different; it's a pressure suit (more or less a whole body suit) under kevlar plates. The best reference I'd say is perhaps the Martians from The Expanse, but it's the staple scifi armour I guess, so you can find lots of other varieties.
