I think pretty much all of us agree that the new Tapas design is kinda... bad, and I hope they'll adjust it soon.
These threads are meant to be for fun, but I figure it can be pretty good for venting without yelling at Tapas staff as well.
So, tell me as harshly as you'd like, what do you think of the new website design? And, more constructively, how would you redesign the website to make it better?
This new redesign not only caught me off guard, but it's kind of garbage, the awkward redesign added way too much white space, made the color palette too monotone and it made reading comics more difficult. In their ambition to sync the website design with the app design, they seemingly failed to factor in that website users have needs that differ from the app users.
Being more constructive now, I personally find the new design too clunky, and there's too much white space. I'd rather see the website altered and streamlined to improve the reading and particularly the binging experience.
I'd also like to see a few small quality of life improvements. A dark mode theme is a popular request, but also a smoother way of checking the stats of your series. The current way is fine as is, but it could be better.
Add some other options aside from a bar graph and include the option to view the stats of individual chapters/pages over time, instead of just the comic as a whole. I think that'd be a nice little touch.
