As an author for a book with two supernatural entities that converse using italics, the bug that removed said italics from all current chapters on the desktop version is going to be a real hassle, ESPECIALLY if I have to go back through 85,000 words worth of content and edit it back in.

Just yesterday, I was complimenting this site and now today I'm very tempted to rescind that compliment. I don't want to upload onto another Webtoons. I want the comforting colors of the old version, one of the biggest reasons I enjoy getting on the desktop site to upload. I do not like the bland new format and I most certainly don't like that those colors that make you YOU are only found here in the forums.

The new look is horrid. It's ridden of all personality/ what made tapas different from other websites. It's less ergonomic. I would much rather revert. tapas staff PLEASE. You could have at least waited for the design to be optimized and functional before publishing it.

I understand if you made the website more branded, but it's genuinely just bland as F*ck

Unless you are a premium author (the works have a whole other routine that they go through before being uploaded) then yes. Odds are, your italics are gone. But, only on desktop as far as I can see.

They are visible when you (as the author) are editing, but try reading one of your chapters that has italics in it and the words are just gone. Poof. Nothing there if they were italicized.

So, does that mean that if they're still missing at this point, we need to go back and edit them in or is there going to be a patch that fixes it later?

I would wait to see if the dev team can roll this back before trying to fix it by hand. I will see if they can keep us updated regarding this.

if i could make a HUGE HUGE SUGGESTION... revert the site and build up from the previous version, fix the tiny issues wer all complained abut like the work count and the visibility (even tho i know Tapas doesnt want us to be visible),

but really... honestly, what they did here, DON'T DO THIS!! THIS IS BAD, IT LOOKS LIKE A WEBTOONS CLONE, I CHOSE TAPAS AS MY PRIMARY POSTING SITE CAUSE IT LOOKED ORIGINAL but im starting to "pack my boxes" its like what i said about my apartment after losing my mom... its not home anymore...

Don't know if it's just me, but I'm having lots of issues with scrolling when I access tapas on my phone (Android, chrome browser). It doesn't scroll at all, or it jumps right to the bottom of the page. It's not frozen because tapping on buttons still works. It doesn't happen with any other site or the tapas app shrug

Also gotta note that the episodes themselves load slower than they used too - even on short comics.

I agree. There is nothing to be gained from attacking each other. Everyone's experiences, positive or negative, are valid and should be considered.

I just hope that the folks who are reading our feedback and emails take us seriously. Already a few of us feel like we are being pushed aside as smaller/newer creators (I mean we have been feeling that way but this is certainly the biggest straw that broke the camels back). I would like to hear from the Tapas folks and I'm willing to wait a few days before making a decision to abandon ship (or building another ship to check out another port).

Creator Bug: As the creator of a comic you can no longer view your scheduled chapters unless you edit them. It says "Coming Soon!" when I click on a chapter that's not live yet. I need to be able to see the scheduled chapters so I can create links for twitter. Please fix this!!

This update is terrible. I think pretty much everything I don't like it has been mentioned but I want to complain.

Everything is too white. It hurts my eyes. Please give us a dark mode or make this white less screamingly bright. Add some colour in the top bar. I miss the yellow.

Why is the subscribe button hidden? It makes literally no sense. No one is going to bother finding it after they finish reading. There is a perfect spot for it between the comment and text size icon. Please change this.
Why is series subscription hidden too? It makes no sense. I want to be able to see quickly what the story is about, not go searching and clicking.

But I do like the new chapter view from the most part. I like it that the view is wide and that the bars go away when you scroll. I just wish I'd easily get them to show up without having to scroll to the top or bottom. The series view is quite nice too apart from the hidden description. I also think that instead of showing the support messages it'd be nicer to show for example the latest posts on the creator wall made by the creator. That way the reader could easily get some information about for example hiatuses or other news.

ALSO why does the "other series from this creator" look how many likes it has? I guess it makes sense to show how many people 'like' the series but not that many people click the like button from my experience.
So showing subs or views would make a lot more sense to show how popular a series is

All in all I wish we could go back to the old website while you make changes. Right now I don't really like this new look and the site is not enjoyable to use
