Rated! Thanks for joining in! Yes, Reddit is definitely a mixed bag - I've seen some good success promoting there (and my one single patron found me through Reddit!) so I'm still using it. But you do want to be aware of the drawbacks, especially in the early days.
Once you have a good number of ratings, the occasional one star won't impact you as much. It happened to me again the other day, and instead of cratering down from 9-ish to 5-ish stars this time, I only went from 9.2 to 8.4. It seems I'm at a point now where I don't have to fear them as much anymore. (Though I'm a bit miffed, I was happy to finally be back in the 9's, haha. Still, 8-ish stars is more than fine.)

Hey Crow, thanks for joining in! Rated! (And I agree - when the rating system is so prone to negative abuse, I don't think spinning it around and using it positively like this is really cheating. )
