Welp, scrapped the script for the third time now

This is one of the times I'm glad I don't have a fanbase otherwise they would likely be very very confused everytime I change the plot which is all the time.

Anyhow, how's your comic process goin'? Did you get the big scene you've always wanted to draw out yet?

Is there a reason you scrapped the script in particular?

With my comic while yeah, I do have scenes I'm excited to finally draw out however I try not to think about them too much while drawing and scripting wherever I'm at within the current part of the story just because it kind of takes me out off the headspace of making this particular scene I'm working on at the moment the best it can be both dialogue wise and art wise.

For this story, maybe ranging from 1-10, how big do you think it is in retrospect?

I ask that because usually bigger more grander story ideas can be harder to execute rather than stories with a more simple plot and structure.

Only advice I can give that helped me was before even thinking about story, to think about who your characters are down to a tee. This helps with dialogue and helping it flow because with more well rounded characters that usually helps drive the scene and script in a natural way that actually sounds like normal conversations.

I think it's normal to rewrite a few times, particularly if you are inexperienced. The first ten chapters of my novel were rewritten three times before I was satisfied with them. Readers on Tapas are very understanding and supportive with changes, just need to ensure to inform them of essential plot changes

I do rewrite chapters before I draw them or while I'm drawing, so I think it's fine changing the plot if its not noticeable. You can see featured webtoons doing it all the time and they make it pretty damn obvious too.

Plus not only does my script change at times, even my art style does.

Don't feel bad! Even professionals do that!
The writer gives the script to the drawer, and sometimes he changes things to make it look better, other times the writer change the dialogues to be better understood at final time, and then we have the marvel system, where you only gives a synopsis to the cartoonists, they do everything, with empty balloons, and the writer fill them with anything at last minute xD

In my case, I did the whole story with arcs, and every chapter have a synopsis of what should happen, and just at final minute I write the chapter page by page. Then draw the thing, and fix anything that should be fixed. That way I have an script flexible enough if I add something (I have done that), but stable enough to know where is the north of the story.
